Venturing in 3 major cities, the Table Top event of the West Nusa Tenggara Tourism Promotion Board (BPPD NTB) gathered enthusiastic crowd of buyers.
The sales ventures of BPPD NTB in three major cities (Jakarta-Bandung-Surabaya) to market Lombok Sumbawa as one of main tourism destination in Indonesia have brought about considerable interests amongst the travel buyers. Proven by almost 80 buyers attending the event, exceeding the 50 buyers targeted by BPPD NTB, The Table-Top event held at the Emerald Room, Red Top Hotel in Jakarta, has recorded its first success of the venture.
The unexpected crowd of interested buyers exhibited the enthusiasm of travel individuals and companies in this capital city. As part of its important missions to promote and market Lombok Sumbawa, this sales venture program becomes the beginning of BPPD NTB programs to explore buyer market outside the region.
The success of this BPPD NTB’s sales program will be a barometer for the number of domestic and international tourists visiting the West Nusa Tenggara region, as well as the starting point of the economic development of the region during the period of current BPPD NTB committees. The merit of this table top will be exhibited by the elevated level of economic advancement that the region achieves as a result of this event, and eventually will affect to the West Nusa Tenggara economic growth recognition nationally.
Having reviewed on the enthusiasm of this Table Top program, the Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Tourism Promotion Board Mr. Taufan Rahmadi, felt optimistic and confident that the West Nusa Tenggara tourism is going to move forward and advanced. “In conjunction with creative ideas and mass media partaking, the growth of the West Nusa Tenggara tourism is closely related to the promotion budget, which is mostly insufficiency and limited. However, we would definitely perform efficiencies and effective procedures in certain areas so that we are still able to accomplish our main duty up to our upmost effort,” said Taufan excitingly.
The Table Top event held in Jakarta was attended by the prominent travel pioneer, Mr. Tejo. As the owner of ITC Travel, his presence definitely instigated encouragements amongst the travelers and other tourism society in Jakarta to take Lombok Sumbawa as their vacation destination. “The tag-line: Holiday is, Lombok Sumbawa. I agree with this. At the end of this year, I have a plan to hold an event and take my international tourists to Lombok,” he said in a convincing tone.
It is also conceivable that BPPD NTB convenes similar programs in other major cities in the East and Central regions of Indonesia, in a more measurable and constructed plan. “In the future, we will organize in a well-planned manner and conduct early preparation to anticipate the high number of enthusiastic attendees (buyers or sellers) just like this moment,” the Executive Director of BPPD NTB, as the person in charge of this event, explained.
This table top had an agenda to trade interesting travelling package to Lombok Sumbawa in some destinations. All travel sellers are committed to inform the supporting tourism facilities available in Lombok -Sumbawa. Lombok Sumbawa promises more to its beautiful nature of land and nautical tourism. The magnificence of Lombok undersea views are not unknown by the domestic and international travelers. Aside from its nature, Lombok Sumbawa possesses a great preserve of indigenous cultural heritage as a great asset that has influential value to the history of our homeland.
